Shield Solar is built on a foundation few Alberta solar companies can claim: more than 20 years of hands-on building science experience through our parent company, Shield Restorations Inc., operating as Shield Roofing & Exteriors. What started as a roofing and exterior restoration business has grown into a full-service Alberta home performance partner and solar is the natural extension of everything we've already been doing.

Your roof, attic, ventilation, and structural framing all determine how well a solar array performs and how long it lasts. Hail. Chinooks. Forty-degree temperature swings in 24 hours. Snow loads that crush undersized racking. We've worked through all of it for two decades. Every Shield Solar design is built for Alberta conditions first, not California weather translated north.
